Parks and Recreation outdoor ice rink maintenance has started, and we’ve made good progress over the last week or so. All of the rinks are coming along nicely. We’ve established a decent base and continue to add water as temperatures allow. It will be another week or so until we are able to open the rinks for public use. We are in the process of setting up a Twitter feed to update the rink status. By the week of December 3rd, we will start updating status and potential opening dates via the feed. The Twitter handle will be @TCJPRrinks and will be linked to the ‘Rinks’ page on the Parks & Recreation website. We’re excited to get the rinks up and running earlier than the last several years and we appreciate your patience. Keep checking back as we determine opening dates!!
Ice Rink Availability
The Teton County Jackson Parks and Recreation Department maintains four outdoor ice rinks during the winter season generally from early December though February. The rinks are available for public use, and there is no cost to utilize the ice.
The rinks are open seven days a week, with routine maintenance taking place in the morning. Special activities may be scheduled from time to time in addition to private parties, which may supersede open times.
Rink Rules & Guidelines
Please keep in mind that these are outdoor rinks and their conditions are subject to the weather. Alcohol, glass containers, and chewing tobacco are not permitted on the ice. Hockey and figure skaters are expected to cooperate in sharing the ice.
