In an effort to practice and encourage social distancing, and to limit physical interaction between Teton County staff and the public, The Teton County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) voted Friday, March 20, 2020 to restrict public access at all County Buildings effective Monday, March 23, 2020 through Friday, April 3, 2020.  Our office remains open and available to provide services to the public through alternative methods. We encourage all District Court Clerk’s Office patrons to call us at 733-2533 or email us  with questions and requests.

We welcome and encourage non-time senstive pleadings via mail. For time sensitive pleadings we request and encourage filings via email or fax. Click on COVID-19 Filing Information located on left navigation for more information.

  • Fax/Email filing fees are waived until further notice.
  • You must call the Clerk’s Office at 733-2533 to request to fax or email file in every instance.

Passport appointments will be limited to applicants with confirmed international travel itinerary. You must call our office to make arrangements with a clerk at 732-8553. The U.S. Department of State has indicated due to Covid-19 Expedited Service is currently suspended and Routine Service is delayed.  Click Here for more information.

Official Duties

The Clerk of District Court is responsible for accurately and effectively processing and managing the case files and court records of the Ninth Judicial District Court of Teton County. 

We provide:

  • District Court record information 
  • District Court case processing
  • Child support customer service
  • District Court jury pool management 
  • Passport application processing

For misdemeanor offenses, traffic citations or other tickets, please refer to your citation or court document for which court to contact. You may need to contact Teton County Circuit Court at 307-733-7713 or the Town of Jackson Municipal Court at 307-733-3932, ext. 1152.

The Clerk of District Court's Office is dedicated to efficiently and effectively assisting the citizens of Teton County and all other individuals or agencies in need of our services. However, we are not attorneys and Wyoming State Statute 5-3-213 prohibits the Clerk of Court or Deputy Clerks from giving legal advice.
